It meets all of the requirements of what a dictionary defines as a sport, which is an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess. If you've ever watched pro gamers do their thing on Youtube (or on normal TV in some Asian countries) you would agree that there is indeed a lot of skill involved. I don't see why people think sports should be about physical strength when many of them are more focused on skill and/or dexterity, such as bowling, figure skating, curling, archery, darts, pool/billiards, synchronized swimming, and fencing.
Why is there so much opposition to the e-sports being considered a sport? Does it somehow negatively impact your lives in any way?
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
I feel like esports are not being recognized as real sports because most of the public don't understand. In the future when there are more people watching esports than other sports I think more of the public will believe then invest into that new industry.
Just my thoughts.
